Central Transfer & Recycle Center (CRC), a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a highly motivated & safety driven,Heavy EquipmentOperator,to work at our Transfer Station in Vancouver, WA.

Pay range is$28-$29/HR DOE

Schedule isWednesday-Sunday

Shift is10:00 AM to Close (6:30 PMor 7:30 PM) with some overtime as needed.

Safety Sensitive:Yes

Qualified candidates must have938 CAT Loader,308 CAT Excavator, Forklift, Backhoe,Yard Truckand 53ft chassis/Trailerexperience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • REQUIRESability to efficiently & safely operate938 CAT Loader,308 CAT Excavator, Forklift, Backhoe,Yard Truckand 53ft chassis/Trailerexperience.
  • Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  • Promotescontinuous improvementof workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work;heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment is required.
  • Knowledge ofbasic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of light andheavy equipment operationand maintenance.
  • Knowledge of basicvehicle inspectionand maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 500-hoursofHeavy Equipment Operatingexperience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Heavy Equipment Operating certificationfrom an accredited trade schoolpreferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills.
  • Pre-employment requirements for this safety sensitive position includedrug panel screening, motor vehicle report, &criminal background check.
