As the Sustainability Specialist, you will report to our Associate General Counsel & Compliance Officer and will be a core contributor to NAVEX's ESG commitments. This role entails key responsibilities on NAVEX's Compliance team that require continuous development and application of specialized knowledge in ESG and sustainability to support business priorities. You will deploy a collaborative and determined demeanor to work productively with multiple teams across the organization.

What you'll do:



  • Participate in the development and manage the day-to-day aspects of the NAVEX's ESG initiatives, including data collection, analysis and reporting to support the company's GHG reduction targets
  • Stay current on evolving international ESG and sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices and advise the company accordingly
  • Support internal teams in responding to customer inquiries and RFPs regarding NAVEX's ESG and sustainability practices and industry trends and best practices
  • Develop, maintain, execute, and track multiple project plans involving inter-departmental stakeholders
  • Contribute to NAVEX's position as a thought leader specifically on matters relating to ESG and sustainability


What you'll bring:



  • Bachelor's degree with a preference for an undergraduate or graduate degree in sustainability, environmental studies or other relevant field
  • 2+ years of experience in ESG or sustainability role
  • Familiarity with industry-accepted ESG reporting standards and validation frameworks, including CDP, SBTi, UNGC, and SASB
  • Experience collecting relevant ESG and sustainability data from multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Dedication to producing exceptional work product and a good measure of pride in doing so
