DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role involves collaboration with the Agriculture Compliance, Conservation District Support Section, and Watershed Support Sections to effectively document and showcase the execution of statewide agricultural compliance initiatives, implementation of grant-funded projects, and support County Conservation Districts across the Commonwealth. Additionally, it encompasses the execution of key initiatives specified in the Countywide Action Plans (CAPs) and Pennsylvania's Phase III Watershed Implementation Plan (WIP). The primary objective is to enhance understanding and provide actionable guidance for local governments, partners in nonpoint source sectors, state agencies, and the regulated community, utilizing data and metrics to inform decision-making. To successfully fulfill these responsibilities, a solid grasp of web-based processes is crucial, along with a keen attention to detail, and strong communication and writing skills.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time internship that will last from 5/1/2026 through 8/28/2026
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, on a schedule that aligns with the supervisor. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements:
- Enrollment in good academic standing as a FULL-TIME student in a bachelor's, or advanced degree program in:
- Agricultural Sciences
- Environmental Resource Management
- Environmental Studies
- An approved major course at an accredited college or university.
- Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)
- Freshman year completed by May 2026
- Pennsylvania residency or enrollment of a Pennsylvania college or university.
Additional Requirements:
- You must possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
