Job Summary: The Senior Field Engineer - Security Systems is a highly experienced professional responsible for leading advanced programming, installation, and troubleshooting of security systems (Card Access, CCTV, CATV, and Intrusion systems) in accordance with manufacturer requirements, engineered drawings, and project specifications. This role acts as a technical leader, mentor, and subject matter expert in the field, ensuring project success through quality assurance, innovation, and strong customer relationships. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Project Leadership: Takes ownership of technical aspects of projects, providing mentorship and advanced support to field staff, technicians, and project managers. System Integration: Programs and integrates complex security systems across various platforms, ensuring seamless functionality and customer satisfaction. Technical Expertise: Diagnoses and resolves advanced equipment problems, providing expert troubleshooting and system optimization in both new and existing installations. Quality Assurance: Performs in-depth quality checks, tests all equipment functionality, and oversees project punch lists for final delivery. Documentation: Develops and reviews advanced system drawings, specifications, and technical submittals. Creates and approves shop drawings, as needed. Customer Interaction: Collaborates directly with customers to provide demonstrations, explain system functionality, and ensure alignment with project goals. Innovation and Process Improvement: Leads efforts to innovate and improve installation practices, system configurations, and project workflows. Training and Mentorship: Trains and mentors junior field engineers and technicians, fostering skill development and career growth within the organization. Sales and Pre-Sales Support: Partners with sales teams to provide expert input for system demonstrations, technical clarifications, and feasibility evaluations during project scoping. Team Collaboration: Works both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams, supporting both in-house and field-based activities. Other Duties: Handles additional responsibilities as assigned, supporting branch and company objectives. Physical and Mental Requirements: Leadership and Problem-Solving: Must exhibit exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex projects independently. Attention to Detail: Demonstrates precision and thoroughness in technical tasks, documentation, and customer interactions. Customer Focus: Must have outstanding communication skills, capable of building trust and maintaining strong customer relationships. Adaptability: Must be flexible, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Travel: Willingness to travel as needed within branch and regional territories. Tools: Must be proficient in the use of all tools outlined for Field Engineer II, with additional expertise in specialized diagnostic and testing tools required for advanced system integrations. Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements: Education: High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in commercial Security Systems installation and integration (Card Access, CCTV, CATV, and Intrusion systems). Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project), CAD software, and other relevant platforms. Certifications: Must hold certifications from leading security system manufacturers; additional certifications such as NICET, BICSI, or equivalent are highly preferred. Driving Standards: Must meet the company's minimum driving standards. Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion, including scope definition, task scheduling, and final customer turnover. Min USD $53.00/Hr.
