Job Description

The position will require the individual to work in a team environment selling and servicing paper machine fabrics. The preferred candidate will demonstrate PMC sales and service ability, will support the paper mill manufacturing process, and demonstrate the ability to participate in the leadership of the Albany team.



The representative will utilize paper industry experience, analytical tools, and fabric evaluation tools such as an Microwave moisture Gauge, Press Tuner, Thermography, PI-data analysis and related dryer equipment to evaluate and support PMC and paper machine problems.



The individual's primary focus will be sales / service support of mills with linerboard, coated packaging grades, fluff/dissolving pulp, Kraft bag grades and other opportunities within the region.



The nights required to travel will be determined by what is necessary to support the position. Location of the individual will influence the amount of travel. Estimated travel: 4-10 nights per month

Experience/Education/Skills

  • Manufacturing experience. Papermaking experience desirable.
  • Ability to evaluate and support the paper manufacturing process.
  • The position will require use of an microwave moisture gauge, Press Tuner, Perm Tester, Thermography, and related dryer equipment to support PMC and evaluate paper machine problems.
  • Knowledge of paper machine clothing-Forming, Pressing, Drying
  • Service / Sales skills
  • Understanding of mill operation from chips to delivery
  • Strong computer skills, Excel, experience with or ability to learn MiniTab statistical analysis software
  • Value Documentation skills-the ability to document the impact of PMC to the mill process
  • Travel will be determined by location of the individual to support the primary mills. Travel is estimated at 10 nights per month.
  • Leadership skills and desire to lead the Quebec team or a product category



Non-Essential Skills:



  • Bachelors in Engineering or Bachelors in Paper Science (preferred)
  • Knowledge of tissue and publishing grades of paper and pulp manufacturing
