Job Description: Manual labor associated with the daily cleaning of buildings. Employees in this job classification are under off-site supervision and perform various duties requiring moderate physical strength (able to lift 20 pounds). Typical duties may include, but are not limited to, dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, polishing furniture, high dusting, vacuuming, and operating basic mechanical cleaning equipment and floor care equipment. The team lead also works and supports other employees.
Training: A comprehensive training is provided to all employees. Job assignments are made according to entry skills and/or successful completion of various elements of the training program. Entry-level job assignments will generally fall within the category of routine work.
Examples of Routine Work: * Patrol and maintain cleanliness in public areas. * Dust mop, sweep, wet mop, and spray-buff floors, occasionally using power equipment. * Vacuum and spot clean rugs and carpets. * Scrub and sanitize restroom fixtures, ensuring restrooms are stocked with towels, soap, and other supplies. * Dust and clean walls, doors, blinds, windows, woodwork, and other above-floor surfaces. * Dust, clean, and polish furniture and fixtures. * Clean elevators and stairwells. * Patrol and tidy the exterior of the building. * Sweep and remove debris from outdoor areas and walkways. * Empty indoor and outdoor trash receptacles. * Empty recycling containers.
