Job Details
The Medical Assistant at the Sibley Urology Clinic functions as an integral member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in providing direct patient care. The CMA I function under the direct supervision and authority of the physician when determining competencies and performing clinical tasks during patient care. The CMA I may report to a provider, administrative/practice lead, nurse manager and/or lead nurse, who is responsible for the administrative supervision and direction of staff, orientation and annual assessment of competencies and the assurance to clinic specific and hospital policies and procedures. The CMA administers medications and immunizations, obtains vital signs, maintains an inventory of appropriate supplies, ensures safe and efficient patient flow, tracks high-risk referrals and lab tests, facilitates safe transitions of care, organizes the practice environment to assure patient safety and quality health outcomes, and contributes to HEDIS and designated quality measures. Location: 5215 Loughboro Rd., Washington, DC 20016 Shift: Full Time (40 hours) - 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. -Day Shift, No weekends Minimum Requirements
Salary Range: Minimum $18.23/hour - Maximum $30.08/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
