Manage claims for all lines of coverage to include aviation liability, auto liability, property, environmental liability. This position will oversee and supervise the resolution of all claims including moderate to high exposure claims ensuring claims are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all internal policies, state/federal regulations, and industry best practices. Additionally, the position will provide claims support to Fixed Base Operations, Director of Risk & Safety and Regional Risk by coordinating established risk management claims processes and policies of Atlantic which include initial claim investigation, establishing reserves on aviation losses (or other policies as needed), follow up with Fixed Base Operations and Regional Risk to move claims to closure, developing subrogation and third party recovery strategies, and prepare loss trending reports for Parent Company, Atlantic Senior Management and FBO operations.

Responsibilities
General Duties
  • Providing exceptional Customer Service to the employees and managers of Atlantic.
  • Constantly representing Atlantic in a positive and professional manner.
  • Complying with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Interacting with other Atlantic employees, customers, vendors and managers in a courteous, approachable, professional and genuine demeanor.
  • Communicating work progress and significant issues to the Director of Risk & Safety

Essential duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):
  • Review, evaluate, and approve complex or high-exposure claims and settlements within designated authority limits.
  • Investigate claims promptly to determine liability and compensability.
  • Confirms coverage of claims by reviewing AA insurance policies and documents.
  • Set up and maintain claims files via Atlantic claims management system.
  • Oversee claims litigation and coordinate with legal counsel and external partners (e.g., loss adjusters, brokers).
  • Coordinate with Company insurance carriers and brokers to move claims to closure.
  • Participate in scheduled claim reviews with insurance carriers.
  • Follow up with Fixed Based Operations and Regional Risk to move claims to closure.
  • Provide status reports to the Director of Risk & Safety and Company Executives on claim matters.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry compliance, insurance laws, and claims regulations, and implement necessary changes.
  • Prepare loss trending and compliance reports to meet Atlantic and Parent Company requirements.
  • Consult with broker on insurance matters as needed.
  • Provide communication field management regarding new claim processes.
  • Promote and enhance strong relationships with internal customers and outside business partners (i.e., insurance broker, insurance adjusters and law firms).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Risk & Safety, Atlantic Aviation.

Skills & Qualifications
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • 5 - 8 Years of Risk Management or Claims experience.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Must maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • Possess extreme maturity and confidentiality
  • General knowledge of the principles and practices of claims administration.
  • Ability to work independently with high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff and employees.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Technical software skills and experience: Microsoft Office.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The employee will primarily work in an office setting. Occasional travel will be required.
