Position Summary
The Service Training Manager plays a pivotal role in cultivating a culture of excellence within the Food & Beverage (F&B) Division at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving onboarding and training programs that enhance the performance and professionalism of full-time, temporary, and student F&B staff. Working closely with Human Resources and F&B leadership, the Service Training Manager ensures that all team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Key responsibilities include managing the onboarding process, developing hands-on training modules, and maintaining consistent service standards across all F&B departments. The role also oversees the placement and supervision of HFIM interns, ensuring they gain comprehensive exposure to various service areas. Additionally, the Service Training Manager provides operational support during peak periods and contributes to strategic initiatives that align training efforts with broader business goals.

Manage Onboarding, Training & Development of Food & Beverage Staff

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of onboarding and training programs for all Food & Beverage (F&B) staff at the Georgia Center.
  • Develop engaging, hands-on training modules that promote skill development and service excellence.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to onboard full-time, temporary, and student employees within the F&B Division.
  • Ensure timely enrollment of new hires in the timeclock system and coordinate employment offers, start dates, and pay rate changes.

  • Partner with F&B leadership to establish and uphold consistent service standards across all departments.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness regularly and implement improvements to enhance staff performance and guest satisfaction.

  • Work closely with the Director of Sales & Event Management and the HR Manager to facilitate internship placements and schedules.
