Mental Health Therapist-Clinical Director

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Responsible for development, monitoring and support of the outpatient mental health program at Crete Area Medical Center (CAMC). Provides clinical assessment and clinical treatment to all patients presented utilizing appropriate individual treatments inclusive of individual, family and group therapy to address identified patient needs. Relates to and works well with people of all cultures and ages.

YOUR ROLE WOULD ENCOMPASS:

• Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.
• Responsible for development of processes for outpatient mental health program, including scope of services, staffing model, clinical pathways, and budgets.
• Responsible for policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines aligned with best practices and evidence-based care.
• Completes the initial diagnostic interview, mental status exam and patient diagnosis upon patient admission; makes recommendations for treatment and referral as appropriate.
• Develops individualized treatment plans which define plan of services and intervention; updates treatment plans according to regulatory requirements and as appropriate to provide optimum outpatient care.
• Independently provides individual, group and family therapy as needed to address patient treatment needs in person; provides crisis intervention services as appropriate.
• Completes documentation and billing in a timely manner in accordance with CAMC guidelines and all relevant Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other oversight and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains appropriate size caseload in meeting productivity expectations; provides community-based, developmentally appropriate, and culturally competent care to all patients.
• Abides by all professional and corporate ethical standards.
• Utilizes Trauma Informed Care Principles.
• Participates in department growth opportunities for behavioral health program at CAMC.
• Provides education for CAMC team members and providers as needed.
• Provides coordination for the behavior health program at CAMC.
• Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
• Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.

YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES (PROVEN PERFORMANCE IN):

Master's degree in professional counseling or related degree leading to licensure as a mental health practitioner required. Active license in the State of Nebraska as an Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) required. Five (5) years of clinical director experience and five (5) years of counseling experience required. Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
