Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our Acute Care team. This position is PRN or as needed for intermittent coverage needs, working a varied schedule to include weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed by the department and availability for more shifts by request. Must be able to train during the week.

Physical Therapist PRN Job Responsibilities:

  • The Physical Therapist PRN selects evaluations and treatment methods appropriate for the patient's diagnosis, age group, and physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.
  • Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
  • Perform re-evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
  • Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
  • Licensure: Virginia Physical Therapist License or Physical Therapist compact privileges required upon start
  • Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
  • Licensure: Virginia Physical Therapist License or Physical Therapist compact privileges required upon start
  • Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience working with acute care adult population
