Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview: The Director of Patient Care is responsible for the coordination of clinical activities of the Wound Care Center. This includes patient care assessment, patient care planning and implementation, and working on patient care quality improvement. This position works in collaboration with the Administrative Director and the Medical Director to meet the Center's program objectives and help ensure optimal healing outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Active New Jersey RN licensure or Compact state licensure with an ability to practice in New Jersey is required.
  • Previous experience in Wound Care in either an acute care or clinic setting is required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate's is required.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association is required.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Wound Care certification preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full-Time, Day Shift

Essential Functions:

  • Works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in reviewing all patients with high-end devices and provides quality review.
  • Leads and participates in process improvement for the program(s) and for the quality of clinical outcomes.
  • Maintain database(s) of patients, outcome, and complications and submit them to the national registry as required.
  • Provide comprehensive guidance on the appropriate use of temporary devices enabling staff to deliver safe and positive patient outcomes.
  • Maintains files, minutes, and quality presentations in accordance with any regulatory requirements.
  • Refers to other disciplines as appropriate.
  • Integrates research-based knowledge and clinical expertise in decision-making.
  • Exemplifies a professional image in appearance, manner and presentation.
  • Advocate for patients, families, coworkers, and the community.
  • Maintains certifications and continuing education as required for licensure.
  • Participates in unit/departmental/divisional or hospital committees/task forces as appropriate.
  • Assists the critical care educator in developing programs to meet continuing education needs.
