JOB SUMMARY

The primary function of the Warehouse Manager is to maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment where all team members can successfully meet the needs of our local branches daily. The Warehouse Manager will serve as the key point of contact for the warehouse and is responsible for communicating with all other business partners as needed. He/She will ensure branches and internal departments are informed and updated on any changes that could impact their business on a regular basis.

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all facets of the operation and should look to develop a model of continual improvement in which the Warehouse Manager's expected to display accountability and ensure all processes and expectations are maintained as directed from senior leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for participating and overseeing the unloading, inspection, and receipt of all incoming deliveries to include noting overages/shortages/damages. This includes communicating these exceptions with vendors and our payables team.
  • Supervise and coach others as needed to ensure branch orders are picked accurately and palletized to prevent damage during shipment.
  • Execute deliveries on time daily utilizing the best shipping method available to include third party freight carriers, UPS, and Arc3 Gases fleet vehicles.
  • Responsible for maintaining and storing all shipping and receiving documents in accordance with Arc3 Gases retention policies.
  • Ensure cycle counts are completed daily as scheduled and participate in any additional inventory needs as requested.
  • Ensure that the warehouse and work areas are kept clean and free of working hazards including trash, cardboard, packaging material, and pallets.
  • Ensure all warehouse equipment is inspected, maintained, and serviced at regular intervals. This includes scheduling any necessary repairs as needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring all inventory is maintained in the correct location to include slotting new items and completing periodic maintenance to remain compliant.
  • Stock and distribute non-sales supplies to branches (i.e., 2-part printer tickets, copy paper, picking tickets, forms, etc.)
  • Maintain a safety-first approach while adhering to all safety standards and policies.
  • Manage the effective use of time for yourself and the warehouse team by providing direction and guidance of tasks to complete.
  • Work all assigned hours as determined by Arc3 Gases leadership.
  • Monitor the 801.errors and 801.warhouse mailboxes daily to ensure all branch issues get addressed accurately. This includes coaching direct reports on errors as they are corrected and taking additional steps as needed to improve team performance.
  • Responsible for ensuring all inbound product is stocked or processed for shipment upon the same day of receipt, work should not be carried over to the next day.
  • Conduct routine inspection of warehouse racking and uprights for safety and to identify any damage. Schedule any necessary repairs/replacements for racking.
  • Ability to complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner, assigned duties are subject to change to meet business needs without prior notice.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Able to walk and stand during an entire eight-hour shift that includes frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and lifting to 60 lbs. No accommodation is provided to assist with these requirements.
  • Ability to operate and certify others in the safe operation of powered industrial equipment.
  • Ability to prioritize and ensure correct tasks are completed daily, the warehouse must be flexible to meet branch needs as they change.
  • Experience using Microsoft office and associated programs to include OUTLOOK, WORD, and Excel. TIMS experience is preferred for this role.
  • Willingness to work after hours and on weekends as needed.
  • Able to direct co-workers on completion of daily functions and unexpected tasks, ensuring all priorities are completed in a safe and professional manner before leaving each day.
