The Test Technician to testand troubleshoot defective electronic sub-assemblies, batteries, chargers, and accessories detected duringmanufacturing process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to interpret blueprints and schematic, diagrams, enabling comprehensive analysis and troubleshooting tothe component level document test results and inspection data, comparing findings with specifications toensure product conformity to company standards.
  • Repair or rework products/ components using electrical-mechanical assembly and soldering methods.
  • Calculate, collect test data and results to verify results are adherent to functional specification.
  • Participate in prototype assembly and the New Product Team to grasp product requirements and assisttroubleshooting and facilitate in product transition to production department.
  • Identify and explain issues related to product quality, efficiency, and effectiveness to other team members tofinalize resolutions and participate in implementations.
  • Assist to accomplish system level repair/rework tasks or assembly, including reliable SMT component ormicrochip replacement as needed.
  • Perform tests on assembled batteries, chargers, power supplies, and related wiring boards using tools liketesting meters, oscilloscopes, and calipers.
  • Perform additional task as required.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical/ trade education or equivalent vocational training in manufacture industry
  • Minimum of 3+ of technical experience or related experience in Test Technician or similar role.
  • Understanding of circuit boards, microprocessors, chips, and computer hardware and software
  • Solderer 454 certificate or surface mount soldering skills are a plus.
  • Understanding of how to use testing equipment to troubleshoot and interpret test manuals, specifications, andrelated document.
  • Problem solving skills, self-motivated with results driven approach.
  • Soldering and electrical assembly, reflecting a level of craftsmanship and technical skill.
  • Math skills and calculations and interpret results to aid testing process.
General Job Requirements
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions.
  • This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.
  • Risk of electrical shock.
  • Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime.
