Position Summary

In the Business Development Visual Media Intern role, you will use the skills in your chosen field to help support the creative team in developing animations, illustrations, concept artwork, graphic design, photography, and videography for marketing, engineering, and proposal materials. This internship offers hands-on experience in 2D and 3D visualization, and the opportunity to learn from and work alongside experienced professionals.


Duties And Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL:

  • Assist in creating 2D/3D artwork based on sketches, engineering drawings, and conceptual input.
  • Help design graphics for proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and visual strategy discussions.
  • Help prepare and revise visual assets using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Support modeling, rigging, and basic animation tasks using Autodesk Maya.
  • Assist in organizing and archiving digital assets and project files.
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and marketing staff to understand project goals.
  • Portfolio submission required - please include samples of work that showcase your skillset.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Current enrollment in accredited college or university pursing a degree in Illustration, Animation, Graphic Design, or a related field. Applicants should be completing their sophomore or junior year.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
  • Exposure to 3D animation software (Maya, V-Ray, Phoenix) is a plus.
  • Strong interest in visual storytelling, engineering, and technical visualization.
  • Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during the summer.
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and collaborate with others.

DESIRED:

  • 3.0+ cumulative GPA.
  • Coursework or personal projects involving animation or 3D modeling.
  • Exposure to using PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Academic excellence and community involvement.
  • Familiarity with tools related to area of expertise.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
