About the role:
As a Senior Supplier Quality Manager, APx Supply Chain - Electrical & I&C Equipment (WBS 9 and 10), you will lead a multinational organization responsible for Supplier Quality Engineering execution. This team ensures externally sourced Electrical and I&C products meet Westinghouse quality, technical, contractual, and nuclear regulatory requirements. You will have a broad, global scope and be accountable for supplier quality, strategy, continuous improvement, and execution excellence. You will support critical delivery, margin performance, and longterm goals across the APx portfolio. You will report to the Delivery Stream WBS Director and we will base you at our Cranberry Township, PA location with a hybrid work schedule. Westinghouse may consider other locations or remote arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight, leadership, and strategic direction to a distributed team of Quality Engineers and technologists located in the Americas and Europe.
- Recruit and develop talent to meet long term organizational needs, including interns/co ops, hires, and experienced engineers and technologists.
- Ensure resources are trained, qualified, and supporting supplier selection, assessment, qualification, and development of supplier quality programs.
- Coordinate with external partners to ensure suppliers maintain Quality Assurance Programs aligned with nuclear industry standards, contractual requirements, and Westinghouse policies.
- Direct supplier investigations, corrective action execution, and compliance assessments, verifying adherence to technical specifications, inspection procedures, and non destructive testing standards.
- Ensure efficient execution of supplier oversight activities (witness and hold points) throughout the production process.
- Guide best practices, lessons learned, and continuous improvement plans to enhance project performance, delivery reliability, and margins.
- Prepare and implement individual and organizational development plans; develop the next generation of engineers to support the future Westinghouse leadership pipeline.
- Support the technical development, project performance, and engagement of the team through mentoring, coaching, and performance management.
- Provide management and senior leadership with relevant insights by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing supplier quality data, metrics, and trends.
- Engage with external customers, suppliers, partners, and Westinghouse senior leadership to resolve issues, influence outcomes, and protect Westinghouse interests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or related discipline).
- Nuclear industry experience under safetyrelated requirements (e.g., NQA1) required.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including management of engineering, quality, or technical teams with increasing scope and accountability.
- Demonstrated experience leading experienced professionals who exercise judgment and independence in assignments.
- Operate across departments, regions, and organizational levels.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. We estimate the base salary range for this position to be $144,000 to $180,000 per year. This is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills. We will not provide relocation for this position. #LI-Remote
