As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct regular patrols and help to deter security-related incidents while providing visible support to the community. This post involves driving and requires carrying a firearm as part of your responsibilities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor for unusual or suspicious behavior and report findings according to site policies.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as required.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entries and exits as needed.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in ongoing training and follow all Allied Universal and site-specific procedures for armed patrol posts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
