Join nVent as a Senior New Product Introduction (NPI) Manufacturing Engineer and take ownership of complex product launches that shape our future portfolio. You'll lead strategic NPI initiatives from program kickoff through Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Safe Launch Containment, and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)-driving technical excellence and operational readiness. Employing deep engineering expertise, you'll anticipate risks, implement lessons learned, and influence design for manufacturability to ensure products are scalable, cost-effective, and meet robust quality standards. Partner with multi-functional leaders in Design, Operations, Program Management, and Supply Chain to set direction, resolve challenges, and deliver successful launches that exceed customer expectations. ** This role will work onsite, 5 days/week, in Anoka, MN. ** WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Participate in new project kick-off meetings for new and unique product line extensions, including supporting and influencing project team development for internal requirements, verifying layout data, customer specific requirements, Risk Priority Number (RPN) reductions, and analyzing SPC data, etc. Communicate with customers related to manufacturing readiness throughout the design phase. Align product design with manufacturing processes and customer requirements to scale production while meeting exacting quality standards. Provide mentorship to junior engineers by sharing industry standards and validated methodologies-covering project leadership, technical skill development, strategic decision-making, and execution excellence. Champion the integration of safety principles into all product and process designs. Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and organization to find the true best fit solution. Develop capability studies, detail the results, and ensure that internal and external requirements are met including deviations. Develop key Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) outputs: Capability Studies, Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEA), inspection instructions, and collaborating with quality in the development of control plans. Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to develop fixtures and job aids for smooth production launches. Develop innovative solutions for sophisticated product and operational challenges.
YOU HAVE:
Ideal candidates will meet one of the following: Bachelor's (B.S.) degree in Engineering and 7+ years as a Manufacturing Engineer OR Bachelor's (B.A. or B.S.) degree and 10+ years of relevant manufacturing experience. Experience leading large projects that could include product development and/or process development. Ability to influence and guide large teams towards desired outcomes. Strong understanding of APQP principles, including handling ECNs and integrating changes into quality planning. Experience working with quality on Control Plans, including conducting FMEAs and process flow diagrams. Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Ability to interpret engineering drawings; skilled in CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other regulatory requirements.

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $89,300.00 - $165,800.00
