About the Role We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Cayce, SC bakery. As a Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex production equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and ensure safe, reliable operation across the bakery. Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 2nd Shift
- Hours: 2:00pm - 10:30pm
- Weekend Availability: Every other weekend
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $34-$38 per hour
Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)
- Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLCbased systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, equipment overhauls, installations, and fabrication work to support production reliability.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and collaborate with production teams to restore safe and efficient operation.
- Operate tools and machinery including lifts, saws, drills, power tools, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
- Maintain accurate records and work orders in the Maintenance Management System.
- Follow safety, GMP, quality, and regulatory procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Coordinate with bakery teams and support contractors working onsite to minimize production disruptions.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- High school diploma and 4+ years of experience in instrumentation, measurement and control systems, electronics, mechanical and/or electrical industrial machinery
OR 6 years of equivalent experience without a diploma. - Experience in at least three of the following: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or food manufacturing process controls.
- Strong working knowledge of equipment setup, operation, and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fastpaced environment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work in environments requiring physical activity such as standing, lifting, climbing, or operating equipment (as applicable).
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting or programming.
- Background in food or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation practices.
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement in production settings.
