Overview:

Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Accreditation and Quality Supervisor

Location: Hybrid- Virginia Beach, 23464

Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk)

Shift: M-F Days

A key member of the Ambulatory Clinical Support Team this colleague is responsible for ensuring pharmacy operations meet regulatory and accreditation standards while driving continuous quality improvement in a cross functional model. This role will also include oversight of an Education Coordinator who will help with training and accreditation readiness. The supervisor develops and monitors performance metrics, policies, and audits to uphold excellence in patient safety and clinical care delivery.

  • Leads and coordinates the development and maintenance of clinical and operationalpharmacy processes and programs

  • Develops, implements and evaluates pharmacy services, protocols, policies & procedures

  • Models practice consistent with organizational goals, customer service, clinical effectiveness, and standards of care

  • Successfully leads local and system implementation of various system initiatives

  • Supports the training of new employees and participates in the creation and maintenance of training materials

Education

  • Bachelors Level Degree in Pharmacy (Required)

  • Doctorate Level Degree in Pharmacy (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure

  • Virginia Pharmacist License (Required)

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of Clinical or Ambulatory Pharmacy Experience (Required)

  • Minimum 1 year experience working with ACHC or Urac Accreditation (Required)

  • Residency Trained (Preferred)

  • 1 year of Leadership Experience (Preferred)

  • Pharmacy Board Certification (Preferred)
