Position: Registered Nurse Location: IV Team Schedule: 24 Hours (8 Hour Shifts / Day/Evening / Holidays) ABOUT THE Medical Surgical/IV Team DEPARTMENT AT BOSTON MEDICAL CENTER: The IV nurses are a dedicated team of "vascular access specialists". They support all inpatients, from geriatrics to small children, needing intravenous access for the administration of medications, fluids, feeding and blood products. Their expertise focuses on infection reduction and safe insertion of peripheral, ultrasound peripheral, midlines and PICC lines.Their knowledge base allows them to be an excellent resource for doctors, nurses and infection prevention staff.
