We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Automation/Transaction Accountant to join our tax team. This role is responsible for supporting all aspects of tax compliance, including sales tax, use tax, and other transaction-based taxes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in indirect tax, a passion for leveraging technology, and a proactive approach to process improvement and cross-functional training. What You'll be Doing: Evaluate current indirect tax processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Partner with IT and finance teams to optimize ERP and tax engine integrations (e.g., Vertex, SAP, Ariba). Leverage data automation and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, UiPath) to enhance tax reporting and compliance accuracy and efficiency. Support tax audits and responses to inquiries from tax authorities. Train and mentor junior tax team members on indirect tax concepts, tools, and procedures. Develop and deliver training sessions for internal stakeholders, including finance, procurement, and business units. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business initiatives, system implementations, and tax implications of transactions. Provide transaction tax guidance on contracts, new products, and business expansion. What You Bring with You (Qualifications): Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Masters Degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in indirect tax, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment. Proficiency with tax automation tools (e.g., Vertex, Avalara) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP). Advanced data analytics and automation tools. Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
