Join NC State University's Building Maintenance and Operations (BMO) team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician - Journey Level and put your hands-on mechanical skills to work supporting a safe, reliable, and comfortable campus environment. This position performs skilled maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC, piping, insulation, plumbing, steam, and other building mechanical systems.

You'll work with a variety of systems, from domestic and chilled water to steam, gas, air, and waste systems, while also supporting HVAC controls and secondary electrical systems.

This role is ideal for a skilled trades professional who enjoys problem-solving, working with their hands, and finding practical solutions to both routine and complex maintenance challenges. Key responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require special licenses or certification(s).
