Description

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer with expertise in modern cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, integration, and security. This role partners across the organization to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that increase agility, flexibility, and resiliency.

Position: Cloud Engineer

Salary: $125,000 - $140,000 annually, depending on experience

Service Area: Hybrid, with 2-3 days per week in office or as needed (office: Lifespark Corporate Office, St. Louis Park 55416)

Schedule: Full - Time, 1.0 FTE / Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Position Functions & Responsibilities:

Working under the direction of the IT Director, a successful Cloud Engineer (CE) will work to implement and refine public cloud computing infrastructure, primarily in Okta, Okta Workflow, Microsoft 365, and AWS. The CE will actively participate with other engineers and developers across the organization to implement new workloads in public cloud and refine existing workloads to meet industry and business best practices. The CE will also work to develop systems, tools, and infrastructure that will allow teams engaging with public cloud resources faster and more consistently to promote growth and innovation.




  • Demonstrable skills managing cloud services, including integration and automation via API


  • Expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex issues across automation and cloud environments.


  • Ability to operate from within ITSM tools used for project management or ticketing


  • Collaborate with developers, SMEs, security analysts, and the business to ensure infrastructure aligns with best practices in security, compliance, and performance.


  • Participate in root cause analysis, compliance and audit reviews, and on-call support rotations.


  • Expert level proficiency with Okta, Microsoft 365, and AWS


  • Proactively communicates with others and demonstrates clear presentation and communication skills.


  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.


  • Strong time management skills.



Qualifications:



  • Demonstrable skills managing cloud services, including integration and automation via API


  • Expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex issues across automation and cloud environments.


  • Ability to operate from within ITSM tools used for project management or ticketing


  • Collaborate with developers, SMEs, security analysts, and the business to ensure infrastructure aligns with best practices in security, compliance, and performance.

Required Experience



  • 2+ years experience in cloud engineering (5+ yrs preferred)


  • Advanced experience in Okta, including Workflow


  • Strong experience with cloud identity and access management / IdP integrations, secrets management, least privilege, and security best practices.


  • Hands-on experience with multiple automation tools.


  • Experience migrating workloads from on-prem to cloud.


  • Experience supporting and deploying a range of public cloud computing services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS deployments.


  • Experience building or managing self-service platforms, automation frameworks used to accelerate business productivity.
  • Advanced experience architecting and managing highly-available and highly-performant multi-zonal and/or multi-regional systems.


Preferred Experience



  • 5+ years total industry experience, spanning any of IaC, systems engineering, cloud engineering/support, networking, DevOps, software development, or SRE.
  • Multi-cloud experience in AWS, GCP, and Azure a plus.
  • Experience architecting and operating systems under compliance or regulatory frameworks a plus.


Education



  • Associate Degree or higher, or 5 years of relevant experience.


  • Cloud certifications and training in AWS, Okta, Azure are required.
