8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday
Primary Purpose of Position
Provide reception for the Department of Counseling as well as serve as a public contact for both students and other on-campus personnel. To provide various administrative duties for the department.
Minimum Education/Experience
Graduation from high school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Job Duties

  • Managing department budget faculty travel arrangements, scheduling and maintaining counseling labs, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Assist with course schedule building and class permitting during the academic year and summer sessions.
  • Support Counseling Field Placement Director with issuing permits and managing field placement paperwork.
  • Individual must be comfortable in a front facing setting
Other Work Responsibilities
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education


  • UNC Charlotte systems experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft and Google Suite (Intermediate skills with Excel or Google Sheets preferred.
  • Experience with WordPress preferred.
  • Experience with office management (purchasing, scheduling, maintaining records preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail needed.
