Job Description




As a Security Professional - Hospital Badge Entry in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the facility, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Your role includes responding to incidents, assisting with access control, and maintaining a professional presence. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to individuals at the healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, offering support to staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related incidents and identify any unusual activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, assisting with access control measures as directed by site protocols.
  • Document and report any observations or incidents according to Allied Universal and client site procedures.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and facility personnel to support a secure and orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have experience with access control and/or badge systems.
  • Must be able to work in hospital settings, including areas such as the morgue.
  • Must be able to safely restrain individuals as required in a hospital environment.
  • Must meet all vaccination requirements for hospital employment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
