Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) Engineer to lead advanced modeling and analytical initiatives that support business stakeholders, analysts, and warfighters. In this role, you will define and evaluate system and data requirements critical to NGA's mission-delivering timely, accurate, and actionable GEOINT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

    Lead complex modeling efforts: Direct the design, development, and application of sophisticated models, tools, and algorithms to identify trends and patterns across large and complex datasets.

  • Architectural and systems analysis: Guide modeling of NGA architectures, system requirements, and performance parameters while aligning efforts with NGA and NSG strategic goals and the future vision for GEOINT.

  • Analytical modeling and decision support: Develop and oversee models that support analysis of alternatives, performance and design trade-offs, and new capability assessments. Formulate deployment strategies based on MS&A outcomes within existing NSG architectures and cloud environments.

  • Mentorship and oversight: Provide technical leadership and direction to mid- and junior-level MS&A Engineers, ensuring high-quality analytical work and professional development across the team.

About You:

You are a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in modeling and simulation, a strong understanding of GEOINT mission needs, and a proven ability to translate complex analytical insights into actionable recommendations.



Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or 12 years of experience as a MS&A Engineer in lieu of degree.
  • Twelve years of working experience in government or industry modeling large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of tools development and use in cloud environments.
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.

Desired:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
  • Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
  • Machine learning experience.
  • Senior-level working experience in Operations Research.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
