Physical Therapist (PT) Acute Care PRN

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is looking for a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our Inpatient Rehab Therapy team. This role will be PRN - 5 weekend shifts per quarter with at least one weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) per month, and 1 Inova recognized holiday per year. Physical Therapist (PT) Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Performs re-evaluations according to department guidelines while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Adheres to department policies regarding the timeframe, form, and content of written evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Gives appropriate instruction and supervision to assistive personnel consistent with program/clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
• Licensure: Physical Therapist upon start (VA licensure or compact privileges)
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association upon start

Preferred Qualification:

• Physical Therapist (PT) experience
