Job Description

The Stockroom Clerk plays a major role in keeping the stockroom in order. Over time the incumbent is trained in a variety of distinct tasks each associated with the classification of a stockroom clerk. They will order, receive, issue and cycle count stock items, record data in SAP, verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner, mark stock items using identification methods, and maintain various storage areas for a visual system.

The Stockroom Clerk will also process outgoing shipments with Fed Ex/UPS, coordinate repair items, maintain plant office supplies, and perform monthly inventory cycle counts. They will work with other departments on inventory and orders, notify/deliver packages to other employees.

SAFETY AND PROCEDURES



* Follow all publicized safety policies/procedures and JIBS applicable to the job.

* Use appropriate PPE that has been identified on the Hazard Analysis for the department/role.

* Attend and participate in all safety training, safety meetings, audits and departmental tier meetings.

* Report all safety hazards observed. If capable, correct the safety hazard identified.






ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



* Necessary Computer Skills - SAP, Word, Excel, Outlook, Skype

* Must have Excellent Communication Skills.

* Must be able to multitask

* Must have excellent organizational skills.

* Inventory control knowledge is a plus

* Shipping and receiving knowledge is a plus

* Lift Maximum of 50 lb.

* Must be able to climb ladder and stairs, frequent bending, stooping and lifting heavy items is required



* Work with Accounts Payable for Invoice Reconciliation to ensure accuracy

* Manage updates of stockroom records and statements periodically

* Material handling capability (forklifts, hand-trucks, and stacking shelves)

* Cleans up work area daily

* Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued.
