Manager Insights & Analytics

This is a remote role that may only be hired in North Carolina. Candidate hired must be in a commutable distance to Charlotte or Raleigh, NC.

The Manager Insights & Analytics role is responsible for client, delivery channel, and market data that provides crucial business insight. Oversees the use and analysis of client, channel, and market data ensuring strategies and tactics are aligned. Manages the financial, operational, and overall data risk of the client and channel data structures. Develops and implements frameworks that report on industry trends and client growth opportunities, as well as return on investment reports for client segments and channel effectiveness. Responsible for the design and ongoing assessment of predictive analytics models that support acquisition, retention, and expansion initiatives. Monitors team performance and implements process improvements that enhance efficiency within business initiatives.

• Data Oversight - Manages the client and channel analytics group to support data needs for all client segments and Bank channel performance. Maintains a strong current knowledge of emerging database management practices, processes, and trends. Establishes an annual business plan that incorporates strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats based on current state of data structures and market research. Works closely with sales executives, business owners, and channel owners to understand data deficiencies, process gaps, and unique needs for differentiated data. Designs data architecture, documentation, processes, and policies. Effectively communicates processes and policies to ensure access and usage are easily understood. Develops dashboards capturing key performance metrics and most commonly used attributes.
• Business Strategy - Develops strategies to drive new sales and ensure usage of products and channels most needed by the client segment. Designs and implements predictive analytics to support sales and marketing initiatives. Provides focused leads to retail, business, and commercial segments that support the achievement of business goals. Delivers data insight, analysis, and guidance to quantify marketing opportunities, channel optimization, and potential return on investment. Gathers feedback from the local markets, channel and business line owners, and external resources to understand the needs of different markets and competitive pressures.
• Risk Management - Manages risks related to department activities and results, considering compliance, regulatory, client, and associate impacts. Ensures all data models and processes are documented and validated in accordance with Bank standards, governance, and regulatory requirements. Maintains data integrity through stewardship of data quality, usage, access, and controls.
• Managerial Functions - Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals. Makes appropriate changes to team policies, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives. Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff.

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Financial Services and budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

OR

High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Financial Services and budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advance Degree
• Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel and experience working with Hyperion is a plus
• Management experience
• Financial acumen including profit & loss management, business case development, budget management, and understanding of general finance, accounting principles, and reporting
• Ability to correctly assess business opportunities or problems, establish financial implications, and evaluate decisions
• Self starter, curious, looks beyond the first right answer
