Position Summary Caloosa Tent & Rental is seeking an experienced Lead Tent Installer to manage a field crew responsible for delivering, setting up, and striking tented events throughout Southwest Florida. The ideal candidate will lead by example, ensuring that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. This position involves coordination with our sales and warehouse teams to execute smooth event setups and breakdowns. Key Responsibilities Supervise a field crew in the setup and takedown of frame, pole (up to 100 ft wide), sailcloth, and structure tents. Oversee and participate in the safe delivery, staking, and installation of tents according to specifications and site conditions. Load and unload rental inventory manually and using small equipment (pallet jacks, dollies, forklifts). Configure rental inventory such as furniture, lighting, and flooring per event layout plans. Drive trucks and/or trailers to deliver and pick up event equipment at designated job sites. Ensure safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction throughout all setup and strike operations. Communicate effectively with the sales, warehouse, and logistics teams. Compensation & Benefits Pay based on experience Opportunities for advancement Paid vacation Work Schedule Typically 40-60 hours per week, November through June and July thru- September @ 30 Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM until jobs are complete (12-14 hour days may be required ON OCCASION ) Saturdays: As needed Occasional evenings and Sundays Working Conditions Work is primarily outdoors and subject to varying weather. Tasks include stooping, crouching, bending, lifting, reaching, pulling, pushing, and carrying equipment. Some time spent indoors in the warehouse loading/unloading trucks. Qualifications & Requirements Must be available to work weekends and evenings, with occasional overnight or multi-day travel. Ability to lead and motivate a team in the field. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Basic understanding of tools, rigging, and tenting equipment; simple electrical experience is a plus. Must be able to lift at least 70 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Experience with forklifts, small machinery, or towing trailers/box trucks is preferred. Punctuality and professional appearance are essential. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. References from previous tent/event industry jobs are required.
