Position Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator supports key human resources functions across the employee lifecycle that help attract, develop, and retain top talent. This role assists with recruiting, onboarding, training and development, employee relations, employee engagement, and compliance.

Job Duties

  • Partner with hiring managers and the HR team to coordinate all phases of the recruitment process from job postings through offer acceptance.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process, including offer letters, background checks, and new hire orientations.
  • Review, verify, and process all new hire paperwork for accuracy and completeness,
  • Support employee relations efforts, helping managers and employees navigate policies, performance expectations, and engagement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, such as organizing employee events, recognition programs, and surveys.
  • Support workforce planning, talent development, and organizational effectiveness processes.
  • Coordinate training programs and workshops, including scheduling, logistics, participant communication and maintaining training records. Assists with processing state grant approvals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance communication, morale, and workplace culture.
  • Support internal communication initiatives to include creating and posting content and graphics on the intranet, tv monitors, and other communication channels throughout the facilities.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, company policies, and company recordkeeping requirements.
  • Track key HR metrics such as turnover, engagement, and headcount to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Coordinate the offboarding and termination process.
  • Assist with processing unemployment claims and responds to requests for employment verifications.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources is required, with previous HR internship experience preferred; or
  • Four years of relevant HR experience in lieu of degree; previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Tools

Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), SAP, Adobe, Canva.

Licenses/Certifications

Professional HR certifications (PHR and/or SHRM-CP) a plus.

Working Conditions

Position is performed in a typical office environment. May be exposed to loud machinery and dangerous chemicals while on the plant floor.
