Human Resources Generalist Opportunity

The HR Generalist is a vital part of Arbour Hospital's human resources and operations team. This is a full time, Monday - Friday, 40 hour per week position.

We treat primary psychiatric and substance abuse disorders and constantly strive to meet the needs of our communities with treatment that address individualized behavioral health needs. Our medical staff consists of psychiatrists who average 20 years of practice at our facility, providing a solid and trusted foundation for our patient-focused approach to behavioral healthcare. We stand ready to provide compassionate care through inpatient treatment and a strong continuum of aftercare services, community-based programs, and day treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides human resources support to the facility by managing all personnel issues within corporate policies and procedures and all federal and state guidelines.
  • Prepares personnel files and maintain personnel records in accordance to facility and corporate personnel policies and guidelines.
  • Provides consultation and training to facility management regarding employee relations issues, counseling and termination procedures as required
  • Responds to all employee complaints in a professional manner, and assists with conducting preliminary investigations.
  • Responds quickly to all unemployment compensation claims, workers' compensation claims, and employee accident reports
  • Develops and monitors procedures to assure the timely and accurate processing, flow and documentation of personnel transactions (LAWSON).
  • Conducts orientation trainings to all new hires

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in similar position
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills. Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task and change direction quickly.
  • Requires advanced computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with HRIS System(s) desired (e.g. LAWSON).
  • Healthcare HR experience preferred.
