Aon is looking for a Forensic Accounting Risk Consultant- Property

Work Style: Hybrid- Chicago, IL

Project Fulfillment:

Working with forensic accountants, actuaries, forensic cyber experts, and reporting to the Valuations practice leader, the Senior Consultant will:

  • Review and analyze clients' financial data in the context of interruptions
  • Review and analyze clients' supply chain data and business continuity plans
  • Draw conclusions and identify areas in need of further exploration with respect to Business Interruption values and exposures
  • Review and analyze clients' business models and processes
  • Work with clients to identify vulnerabilities and quantify potential financial impacts from property events
  • Interview personnel within clients' business including people from Operations, Finance, Business Continuity Management, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Logistics and Procurement
  • Extrapolate information from interviews and data reviewed, and input into Desktop BI Values and/or Business Impact Analysis methodology workbooks for calculation of customers' Business Interruption values and Maximum Foreseeable Loss exposures
  • Prepare process/supply chain flow maps in Power BI, Business Impact Analysis workbooks and PowerPoint/Word Doc Executive Summaries of the workbooks for presentation to clients.
  • Assist the claim preparation team in complex property damage and business interruption loss claim preparation and substantiation on behalf of insureds

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Business Development:

Business development of Valuation offerings (Desktop BI Valuations, Business Impact Analyses, and Supply Chain Mapping in Power BI). Specifically:

  • Cross-sell other CPAV services including Claims Preparation and Rapid Response.
  • Develop a rapport with AE's and property brokers to market valuation projects
  • Support CPAV overall initiatives for institutionalization into other areas of Commercial Risk - internationally and other practice groups (CSG, FSG, Industry Practices, etc.)
  • Develop, participate and join organizations to further develop business and networking

Qualifications and Requirements

  • BA or BS required
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred or pursuing same
  • Proficiency with Excel / Microsoft Office applications
  • 1 - 5 years forensic accounting / property insurance claim preparation experience
  • Travel is likely required

Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $80,000 to $100,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive[an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any[bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
