About the Role:

MaineHealth Pulmonology, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine in Brunswick is seeking aPatient Service Specialist (PSS)to join our collaborative, patient-centered team. This full-time position plays a key role in providing exceptional front-line administrative and clerical support to patients and clinical staff within a busy, highly specialized outpatient environment.

As part of our welcoming office team, you'll help coordinate care for patients managing complex pulmonary, critical care, and sleep-related conditions.

What You'll Do:

  • Greet and assist patients in person and by phone in a professional, compassionate manner
  • Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and verify insurance
  • Support providers and medical assistants with administrative needs
  • Ensure accurate documentation and smooth patient flow
  • Promote a supportive, organized, and efficient front desk environment

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Six months of medical office experience required.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.
