Responsibilities
The Valley Health System Consolidated Services The Valley Health System has expanded into an integrated health network that serves more than two million people in Southern Nevada. Starting with Valley Hospital Medical Center in 1979, the Valley Health System has grown to include Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center, Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center, Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center, Summerlin Hospital Medical Center and our newest addition Henderson Hospital. The Medical Education Clerkship Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and administration of clinical clerkships for third and fourth year medical students. Under the director of the Administrative Director of Medical Education, this position includes a wide range of administrative duties related to medical education and graduate medical education. This is a shared position between The Valley Health System (VHS) and Touro University, Nevada (TUN). Coordinator will work two (2) days per week offsite at TUN. Qualifications Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years of relevant work experience preferred. Equivalent experience may substitute for education. Experience: Two years' administrative/coordinator related experience. One years experience supporting multiple individuals. Two years' experience in higher education administration preferred. Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of MS Office products, with a working knowledge of Adobe products. Advanced courses in computer applications - MS Access or similar database experience preferred. Other: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be detail oriented, and handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously. Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills. Must be flexible to work early or late shifts, weekends or as needed. Note: Must have reliable transportation to travel for work between VHS and Touro University locations.
