Job Overview

The Supply Chain Finance Analyst serves as a key point of contact providing analytical support for Macy's Supply Chain. The Analyst collaborates effectively, delivers results, and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. They demonstrate a high level of proficiency in systems and databases to create queries, develop ad-hoc reports, and transform data into analytics with actionable insights. The Analyst thinks critically through complex scenarios and ambiguous situations, providing clear, actionable options to drive informed decision-making.

What You Will Do



  • Extract, manipulate, and analyze data from multiple sources to inform and support business strategies.
  • Develop and maintain automated financial and operational reports of medium to high complexity using Excel.
  • Influence business decisions through trend analysis, providing actionable insights into operational metrics and identifying root causes for performance issues.
  • Participate in month-end close activities, including preparing accruals, journal entries, and financial reports.
  • Collaborate with key supply chain leaders to exceed financial commitments and performance goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate supply chain costs to identify opportunities for savings and process improvements.
  • Support forecasting and budgeting processes through detailed analysis of supply chain financial data.
  • Assist in implementing financial controls and compliance procedures specific to supply chain operations.
  • Deliver ad hoc analyses and reports to support strategic supply chain initiatives.
  • Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.


Skills You Will Need

Financial & Operational Analysis - Ability to interpret complex financial and operational data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Data Management & Reporting - Proficient in extracting, manipulating, and analyzing data from multiple sources; skilled in developing automated and ad hoc reports using Excel and other analytics tools.

Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving - Demonstrates strong critical thinking and the ability to translate data into actionable insights that inform business strategy and decision-making.

Technical Proficiency - Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial systems, ERP platforms, and business intelligence tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI, Tableau).

Collaboration & Communication - Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex information clearly and build effective partnerships with cross-functional teams and business leaders.

Organization & Execution - Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 1+ years of related experience.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
