GENERAL PURPOSE Oversee safe and efficient operation of processing equipment, maximizing production up time while providing high quality product that meets customer and regulatory requirements. Provide daily work direction to processing employees. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Oversee and direct work for the HTST production operation, processing, box room, and filling * Measure work outcomes and processes and take actions toward continuous improvement * Maintain productivity and quality management * Oversee all equipment and chemical safely. Report all safety concerns * Provide training to all new processing employees * Assist supervisors when needed by providing work direction to other aseptic processors and cover various supervisors' duties in their absence or when requested * Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately * Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues * Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements * The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as required EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * High school diploma or equivalent preferred * 4 to 6 years of experience or 4+ years of experience with demonstrated leadership attributes * Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES * Able to follow directions and carry out instructions * Able to effectively work in a team environment * Able to legibly write entries for record keeping * Able to work in a fast-paced environment * Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals * Must be able to read, write and speak English An Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans |
