Patient Representative

Full time - Evening Shift - 40 hours.

-this position is Mon - Fri, no weekends, no holidays.

The Patient Representative works in conjunction with the Nursing staff and administrative staff to provide the highest level of Customer Service for the Emergency Department. This is a fast paced "patient-facing" position with a diverse range of duties. The Patient Representative must be proficient in hospital services, policies and procedures. Daily tasks will include, but are not limited to, greeting patients, assisting in directing the flow of patients and visitors, being a source of information to patients and visitors in the waiting room, de-escalating situations as required, providing emotional support as needed to family members and patients.

Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires knowledge of general policies and procedures of the Patient Representative program, normally acquired over 3-6 months in position.
  • Substantial interpersonal skills need to frequently interact with patients, families and medical staff.
  • Advance communication skills.
  • Knowledge of general office equipment.

Salary Range: Minimum 17.11/hour - Maximum 28.86/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
