Overview

The Plant Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient receiving, storage, and handling of SNF chemicals, including trans-loading between railcars and bulk trucks, sampling, testing, and reporting in the SNF Frac Hub in San Antonio, TX. The Plant Operator will also be responsible for supporting the entire plant operation process while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This is a 24/7 operation; shift work and rotation will be required.
Responsibilities
- Perform all trans-loading duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures for trans-loading, storage, and handling.
- Ensure all associated paperwork with trans-loading is completed accurately.
- Operate and maintain certified truck scales.
- Assist in the investigation, reporting, and resolution of all customer complaints and issues.
- Report all accidents, incidents, and near misses immediately to your supervisor.
- Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, and products.
- Participate in all safety training sessions.
- Operate and handle pumps, valves, hoses, and various instruments to complete transfers.
- Maintain the necessary permits required to perform operational functions.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Assist the Team Lead in maintaining the company's environmental, health, safety, and security policy at the site.
- Participate in ISO, RCMS, and environmental audits as needed.
- Operate heavy equipment such as Yard Mule, Forklift, and Rail Car Mover.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping at all times.
- Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Required
EXPERIENCE:
- 0-3 Years - Relative chemical manufacturing knowledge/experience - Preferred
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Competent with computers and Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in a fair and respectful manner.
- Confident, honest, and a self-starter with high energy.
- Willing to work in a team environment to accomplish goals.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb stairs, and work from elevated platforms.
- Desire and ability to work exposed to the environment: cold & heat.
