Position Summary |
This position will act as the Team Lead for the Individual Placement and Support (
IPS) Supported Employment Program at in the
UNC Center for Excellence in Community Mental Health, providing direct supervision of
IPS team members and oversight of day-day program operations. This position will serve as a mentor and supervisor for the
IPS program staff, completing onboarding, ongoing supervision, and evaluations. In addition, this position will provide direct services to
IPS recipients including job coaching, skills training, assessment, counseling, intervention and advocacy. Case management, documentation and employer contacts are also required along with other services needed to maintain the employment of a Supported Employment participant. The
IPS Team Lead will serve as the primary contact for the program for referrals, communications with external stakeholders and collaborative partners. Additionally, the
IPS Team Lead will provide administrative support to the Clinical Director of Community Services, compiling data and tracking outcomes as needed for programmatic requirements. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Associate's degree in a related Human Services discipline and two years of experience related to the area of assignment, or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QP) as defined by 10A
NCAC 27G .0104, with vocational or supported employment experience. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
- Certified IPS (CIPS) or Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) credential.
- Experience collaboratively working with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with people with serious mental illnesses.
- Experience leading, mentoring, onboarding, and training employees and supporting a team.
- Demonstrated rapport with external stakeholders (MCO, Vocational Rehabilitation).
- Demonstrated experience in IPS or other supported employment models.
