AGE Solutions is looking for an ISP/OSP Plant Technician (Copper/Fiber) to join our team onsite at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPH). The Plant Technician works under supervision on inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) tasks. Performs copper/fiber terminations (66/110, RJ-21/RJ-45; lucent connector/LC, subscriber connector/SC), labeling, and basic testing with power meter/light source (PM/LS). This is an onsite position based on the island of Oahu, HI with travel required throughout the island. Occasional travel to Kauai, HI is also required. Candidates must be local to Oahu. Responsibilities Include:
- Build patch fields in MDF/IDF; pull cable in existing pathways.
- Assist fusion splicing; prep closures; document redlines.
- Run optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR) traces on defined sheets; time-domain reflectometer (TDR) for copper pairs.
Requires Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Citizenship and Clearance:
- US Citizenship is required.
- Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) eligible; Department of Defense (DoD) Secret preferred
- Experience: 0-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Qualifications Safety cards (lockout/tagout LOTO, mobile elevating work platform MEWP basics); reads construction drawings.
- Certifications (Preferred): Fiber Optic Association (FOA) Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT); Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) Installer I/II.
Compensation: $55,000 - $69,000
