Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking highly motivated Lead Architect Modeler who will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and governing the enterprise architecture models that form the backbone of system design and integration.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using Cameo Enterprise Architect (or similar modeling tools), a deep understanding of DoDAF 2.0.2 and UAF metamodels, and the ability to lead architecture development efforts across a complex, multi-stakeholder program environment.

Responsibilities

    Configure and maintain the Cameo Enterprise Architect (EA) environment, including setting up user permissions and workflows
  • Define and manage the project metamodel, identifying architectural elements and their interrelationships to align with DoDAF and UAF standards
  • Create and maintain a tiered architecture structure, enabling permission-based locking on architectural elements to support distributed modeling
  • Perform architecture modeling activities in Cameo EA, including SysML-based modeling
  • Review artifacts and version deliverables to ensure consistency, traceability, and compliance with program standards
  • Lead the preparation of Architecture Review Board (ARB) deliverables and other key program documentation
  • Coordinate and task team members, providing technical guidance and oversight for the architecture team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (systems, mission engineering, cyber, program management) to ensure architectural alignment across the program
  • Support project planning and status reporting for architecture development activities


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Min 8 years with BS/BA, Min 6 years with MS/MA, Min 3 years with PhD
  • 4 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree
  • Experience working with Cameo Enterprise Architect or equivalent modeling tools
  • Extensive knowledge of DoDAF 2.0.2 and UAF metamodels, including the ability to define project-specific metamodels and architectural element relationships
  • Experience creating tiered architectures with permission-based locks to support collaborative modeling
  • Proficiency in SysML and architecture modeling best practices
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience, including leading architecture teams and interfacing with multiple stakeholders
  • Active/Current Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Formal training in DoDAF modeling, NoMagic/Cameo, or Enterprise Architecture
  • Familiarity with Dassault Systemes' NoMagic training offerings for Cameo
  • Experience supporting large-scale DoD programs with complex systems-of-systems architectures
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor junior team members

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
