Job Description: Evaluates, develops, implements, maintains and supports IT infrastructure in accordance with business requirements and IT policies. Identifies and solves business problems with all available technology including hardware and peripherals. Oversees the regular testing of information systems and provides advise to avoid disruptions in business activities. Monitors operational performance and solves infrastructure problems. Keeps end-users updated on new/added functionality within the IT Solution. Leads or influences other employees working and using the IT infrastructure platform. Responsibilities:
- As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the IT infrastructure. This role involves hands-on work with network, server, and security technologies in both on-premises and cloud environments. Key responsibilities include:
- Manage and maintain core network infrastructure, including switching, routing, VLANs, SD-WAN, DHCP, DNS, and firewall systems.
- Administer and support virtualized environments, primarily VMware and Hyper-V, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Configure and maintain Windows and Linux servers, ensuring system reliability, security, and compliance.
- Support and manage Active Directory and related systems, like Group Policy, and authentication services like ADFS and other SAML authentication services.
- Ensure data protection and backup integrity using tools such as Commvault and Druva.
- Monitor network and application performance using tools like SolarWinds Orion, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Deploy and manage secure remote access solutions, including VPN configurations with Pulse Secure/Ivanti Connect Secure.
- Support and optimize wireless and switching infrastructure, especially HPE/Aruba networks and Aruba ClearPass.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure projects, upgrades, and system migrations.
- Manage and maintain enterprise applications and tools, such as SQL Server, SCCM/MECM, HAProxy, and AWS environments.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and policies to ensure consistent and reliable operations.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, evaluating and recommending solutions to improve system efficiency and security.
- Some travel required up to two times per year as needed
