Reports to: IT Supervisor


Department: IT


Pay Rate: $22 -$26, depending on experience


Job Summary:


The Help Desk Analyst exists to provide world-class service to all Bal Seal customers, both proactively and on an as-needed basis.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Troubleshoots software, hardware and networking tickets
  • Issues and manages mobile devices (Droid, iPhone, USB, laptop, etc.) and trains users on their use of employer issued devices
  • Performs all employee on-boarding and off-boarding IT related tasks
  • Maintains IT protocols, manuals and other IT related documentation
  • Provides courteous and prompt response to IT related requests for assistance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Education:



  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Microsoft certification preferred


Experience:



  • 2 years' experience in PC repair strongly preferred
  • 2 years' experience with AD/GP strongly preferred
  • 2 years' experience in Customer Service preferred
  • Experience with HelpStar preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Must be proficient in PC hardware support and repair
  • Must be proficient in mobile device management for multiple device types
  • Must be proficient with Win11, MS Office, Exchange, Sharepoint, Active Directory, and Cisco products
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, well organized and service oriented


Physical Requirements:



  • Employee is frequently required to stand
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk
  • This position is somewhat sedentary; therefore, employee is required to sit
  • Frequently will need to bend, stoop and squat
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving 10 - 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
  • Required to reach with hands and arms to handle documents and products
  • Must be able to enter data into a computer by use of a key board and mouse and be able to sit for long periods at his/her desk as well as occasionally visit employees throughout the building to gather data and clarify information


Work Environment:


The work environment conditions are typical of a manufacturing environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the basic functions. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to moderate, however, hearing protection may be required if employee enters high noise areas as a part of their normal job duties.
