Role Overview:

The Field Service Lead oversees daily field operations, ensuring equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and ready for use. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership-training technicians, coordinating schedules, and supporting customers and sales teams. You'll ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service while keeping operations running smoothly.

A Sample of What You'll Do in this Role:

  • Oversee all aspects of field service support

  • Take out, set up, and calibrate the equipment to be used by the growers in the field

  • Oversee the daily maintenance of all applications and support equipment at the branch facility. This may include trucks, tractors, implements, and other support equipment assigned to that branch.

  • Move and set up tanks as needed.

  • Attend product training sessions and meetings when necessary

  • Ensure that the correct materials are always used and that safety gear is always used correctly.

  • Contact salespeople to resolve any disputes.

  • Mentor and train junior field service technicians, guiding equipment setup, calibration, and maintenance best practices.
    Coordinate with branch management to prioritize service calls, equipment setups, and field operations based on customer needs and business goals..

  • Serve as a point of contact for field operations, communicating effectively with internal teams, customers, and sales staff to align expectations and deliver outstanding service.

  • Assist with planning and scheduling of maintenance routines and equipment usage to maximize productivity and uptime.

  • Identify and implement process improvements within field service operations to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What you bring to the role:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Forklift Driver and Driving Certification (offered on the job)

  • Valid driver's license with Class A CDL or willingness to get one

  • Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe and legal manner

  • Mechanical skills and understanding of fabrication techniques

  • Willingness to operate material handling equipment, including forklift, order picker, pallet jack, and other equipment as required

  • Ability to repetitively bend and lift boxes and bags up to 80 lbs.

  • Willingness and desire to work overtime hours during busy seasons

  • Knowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations (preferred)

  • Willingness to take ownership of service operations, ensuring timely completion of tasks and proactively resolving issues to minimize downtime.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The base compensation for this position ranges from $27.40 to $36.58 per hour. Please note that wages may vary depending on skills and experience.
