The primary responsibility of the Field Service Technician (FST) is to travel and repair proprietary equipment located at customer locations in their service area when dispatched by our customer facing Service Desk.

There is always extensive travel to and from each site the Field Tech visits. Once there, they will perform a walk-through of the facility to repair or replace any components on a suite of custom configured hardware devices that are networked in support of multi-year state and county contracts. Field Techs also perform installations at the new sites. This requires putting together and configuring a significant amount of hardware types (networking, thin Client Kiosks, Vending machines, printers and POS devices) and other associated add on components in support of the contract. The main locations of work will be LA County, California and surrounding county Jails with in a 3 hour drive time of La County, California.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Excellent communication with customers and while working with the Service Desk, regional staff, and peers.
• Diagnose, test, repair and replace kiosks, pc's, vending machines, networking equipment, and other IT equipment located within Jails and Prisons.
• Work with Service Desk team on preventative maintenance and walk throughs.
• Use provided company car to travel to customer locations within service area.
• Update Work Order (WO) module with travel time, notes on work performed and WO resolution.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and components and our product offerings evolve.
• Travel around LA County as needed for hands on training with equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High-school diploma or better; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have good technical troubleshooting skills
• Must be able to develop good working relationships with facility personnel
• Service and maintain Keefe Hardware systems at correctional facilities within an assigned region
• Ability to travel throughout assigned territory as needed
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Strong team oriented business skill
• Professional attitude in dealing with customers
