Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:

The hourly base rate of pay for this internship starts at $18.00, and may increase based on major and class standing.

A Computer Systems Administrator's duties include installing and configuring hardware and software, managing and maintaining network infrastructure such as basic switches, troubleshooting issues such as copier/printer problems and providing technical support to employees for PC's. They also perform upgrades and document system processes for efficient operations.

Required Qualifications

Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.

Must be a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university, or within one year after finishing a degree program.

Must have completed freshman year of college.

Must successfully complete Savannah River Site General Employee Training and substance abuse processing.

*Understanding of Cybersecurity frameworks including NIST 800-53, DISA, CIS, RMF and ATO processes.
*Experience implementing and maintaining security hardening standards and baselines.
*Experience with compliance and vulnerability scanning tools and management processes (Tenable, ACAS, SCAP or similar).
*Experience with project management, including planning, resource allocation, and coordination.
*Experience in a senior role within a team is advantageous.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
*Strong experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V or KVM).
Advances knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
