This position is based in Austin, TX, reporting directly to the Head of Global Real Estate & Workplace. It requires a full-time, in-office presence (Monday through Friday), with occasional evening hours as needed to accommodate event schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Global Events Leadership: Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of global workplace-supported internal events - including hub activations, team onsites, celebrations, employee experiences, and the startup program. Your team also owns the recruiting, management, and support of the Global Site Lead program. As an expert in your field, you bring a deep understanding of cultural and local nuances to ensure events resonate authentically with employees in each region.
  • Team Mentorship & Collaboration: Manage and mentor the Global Internal Events Manager. Partner with Workplace Operations teams and site leads worldwide to spark creativity, share best practices, and deliver impactful events across hubs.
  • Employee Engagement & ERG Support: Collaborate with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to support planning and execution of key cultural events, with focus on prominent identity- and mission-driven observances.
  • Communications: Own internal communications for the Places team, ensuring events and initiatives are clearly, consistently, and creatively communicated across multiple formats to maximize visibility, engagement and participation.
  • Scalable Frameworks: Establish a global event calendar, frameworks, and best practices to ensure consistency and high-quality experiences across global hubs. Build operating models that clearly define roles, responsibilities, and cross-functional workflows for event and onsite planning within Places and across the organization.
  • Budget & Vendor Management: Own the global events budget, including forecasting, negotiations, and vendor management. Drive creative, cost-effective solutions that maximize impact within constraints.
  • Innovation & Design: Experiment with new event formats and scalable models that can be customized regionally while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Cross-Functional Partnerships: Build strong relationships with Physical Security, People, Communications, IT, EBC, Executive Admins, and Site Leads to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Measurement & Reporting: Track, measure, and report on event effectiveness - capturing engagement, outcomes, and ROI to inform strategy and scale successes globally. Lead post-event retrospectives and QBRs, using feedback to recommend improvements and refine future programs.
  • Culture & Hospitality: Ensure events reflect Cloudflare's culture and values while creating inclusive, welcoming, and inspiring experiences. Stay ahead of industry trends to raise the bar for internal events.

What Makes Cloudflare Special?

We're not just a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company. We're a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company with a soul. Fundamental to our mission to help build a better Internet is protecting the free and open Internet.

Project Galileo: Since 2014, we've equipped more than 2,400 journalism and civil society organizations in 111 countries with powerful tools to defend themselves against attacks that would otherwise censor their work, technology already used by Cloudflare's enterprise customers--at no cost.

Athenian Project: In 2017, we created the Athenian Project to ensure that state and local governments have the highest level of protection and reliability for free, so that their constituents have access to election information and voter registration. Since the project, we've provided services to more than 425 local government election websites in 33 states.

1.1.1.1: We released 1.1.1.1 to help fix the foundation of the Internet by building a faster, more secure and privacy-centric public DNS resolver. This is available publicly for everyone to use - it is the first consumer-focused service Cloudflare has ever released. Here's the deal - we don't store client IP addresses never, ever. We will continue to abide by our privacy commitment and ensure that no user data is sold to advertisers or used to target consumers.
