Position Summary:

The Senior Director's primary role is to create capacity for the Vice President by facilitating a wide array of strategic and operational projects that reside in the Vice President's lane. Projects are related to creating, implementing and driving to results around standardizing operational process as well as innovating on processes through process improvement methodologies. The position drives best practices to ensure the highest quality care and consistent experiences throughout DaVita clinics nationally.

This role provides excellent exposure to the DaVita executive level team, as this department is a board-level organizational objective.

Essential Responsibilities:

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.

  • Establish multi-year, high-level objectives/imperatives in line with overall company strategy and in-year goals as it relates to process innovation and optimization.

  • Evaluate DaVita's in-year and multi-year agenda of process innovation solutions to identify gaps in relation to the Company's goals and objectives.

  • Step in and leads a management and execution process in some of the areas where DaVita has gaps.

  • Oversee a thorough and inclusive planning process while working directly across all functional areas of DaVita, including the senior leadership team.

  • Organize a management process and tools that drive execution of key goals and imperatives.

  • Prepare executive-level presentations to share with leadership including COO, CEO, CFO, and SVPs.

  • Develop hypotheses, analysis frameworks, and recommendations.

  • Move quickly in an ever-changing environment, often without supervision.

  • Demonstrate strong strategic thinking and a willingness to lead initiatives through implementation.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills including ability to persuasively and efficiently deliver recommendations to senior executives.

  • Demonstrate ability to build strong relationships across cross-functional teams.

  • Execute these duties in compliance with applicable Quality System procedures as the duties pertain to the Quality System or a medical device, including the following areas of responsibility:

  • Provide input from corporate and operational perspectives to support DaVita medical device products, including supporting activities related to product design and development, Risk Management, and performance monitoring.

  • Participate as Top Management in the implementation, maintenance and oversight of the Quality System.

  • Advise on Quality System governance topics, including the Corporate Quality Policy and Quality Objectives, by participating in management review.

  • Ensure the provision of appropriate resources:

  • Develop the Project Charter in alignment with clinical strategy, R&R, and due diligence.

  • Build and manage an implementation plan.

  • Understand budget requirements for implementation and ongoing support.

  • Define and schedule key stakeholder collaboration and leadership update calls.

  • Partner with Quality and Compliance on operationalization of the Quality System.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Three or more years of strategy consulting experience with a top-tier firm

  • Three or more years of operational decision-making experience

  • Relevant experience in healthcare is a plus, but not required

Education Requirements:

  • MBA from a top-Tier Business School

Physical Requirements:

Physical requirements can vary. However, in general, the position requires the following physical activities:

  • Ability to lift a maximum of 2 pounds unassisted; able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, lifting, and use full range of body motions.

Work Environment

  • Level III - Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic)

  • No required tasks involve greater exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues than would be encountered by a visitor. The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids or other hazardous conditions.

Travel Requirement:

20-50%, depending on portfolio of projects.

The Salary Range for the role is $160,000.00-$215,000.00 per year.
